Welcome to AUHS

As Director of Admissions and Marketing, I would like to extend to you a warm welcome to AUHS. Our mission is to serve the underserved through healthcare education and community service, and our accredited nursing, pharmacy, and clinical research programs are tailored to the needs of students from culturally diverse backgrounds.

The AUHS mission is rooted in our Christian values of love, caring, respect and justice. Everything we do is characterized by these Christian values and our academic values of professionalism, critical thinking and cultural competence. An important part of our curriculum is interprofessional education where students learn to address problems as part of a team from different healthcare professions. Also, central to our educational program is patient-centered and evidence-based medicine. When our graduates enter their places of service, they are well-equipped to provide the highest levels of care.

Our students have earned awards and placed highly in competitions with students from other institutions in our region. More importantly, each year, many of our students have volunteered to serve the underserved or taken mission trips to other countries to follow Christ’s example of preaching and healing.

Studying at AUHS will be very challenging, but very rewarding, and we look forward to meeting you to help you plan your future as a healthcare professional.
